At Design Matters we bring together design practitioners from around the world for two days of design talks, workshops, discussions and socializing in Copenhagen. 

You will meet designers from the most exciting companies working with apps, websites and physical products. They will share their firsthand knowledge and personal stories about creating experiences that connect, engage and inspire users.

This year’s conference themes are: Conversational UI, Spreading the Product Design DNA and Embrace Failure!

Workshops & Design Salons

In addition to the talks, Design Matters also hosts workshops and Design Salons.

At the workshops you will get a chance to interact and work together with the other participants. The workshops aim to challenge how we think as designers and allow you to experiment with methods or techniques that you can use in your daily work.

The Design Salons are discussion sessions with moderated interviews with some of the most interesting speakers where you can ask questions in an open and relaxed atmosphere.

The Start-up Scene

The local startup scene is always represented at Design Matters. We strive to showcase some of the most happening Nordic startups and initiatives that shape tomorrow’s design. Therefore, we invite a handful of local startups to talk about designing for entirely new products. 

Socializing and fun side activities

The Design Matters venue is sprawling with designers, VR machines, sketchers and a lot of other happenings - so the breaks are never boring.

Also, we treat conference participants to good music and drinks after the first day - because you deserve it. And don't miss the official conference dinner where you’ll get a chance to meet the speakers and participants in a cozy atmosphere.

We start at 9:00 both days with registration and coffee from 8:00. We are finishing at 17:00 Day 1 and at 16:30 Day 2.
